Lagerstroemia indica x L. fauriei 'Tuscarora' (Coral-Red Crepe Myrtle) - Deciduous

Size and Shape:

One of the faster growing crepe myrtle hybrids, Lagerstroemia 'Tuscarora' is a small tree growing to a typical mature size of 5 to 6 metres high and 4 metres wide, with a broad spreading shape and stiff upright branching.

Features:

With showy clusters of dark coral pink flowers in summer, glowing red-orange Autumn foliage and smooth bark with areas of pinkish browns and greys, the Tuscarora Crepe Myrtle provides year round interest.

Uses in the Landscape:

An outstanding feature tree great for both large and small gardens.  Urban tolerant it is also useful as a small shade tree in difficult urban situations.  Performs well in a container or limited soil spaces.  A favorite for both formal and informal situations.

Comments:

Will tolerate clay and slightly alkaline soils, requires moderate watering and thrives in full sun.  Bred for resistance to Powdery Mildew.

Availability:
