Robinia pseudoacacia 'Frisia' (Golden Robinia) - Deciduous

Size and Shape:

A moderately fast growing tree, the Golden Robinia is a medium sized tree typically growing to 8 to 10 metres tall and 5 to 6 metres wide. It has a rounded open canopy that casts a soft filtered shade.

Beautiful yellow Spring leaves deepen in colour to a fresh lime-yellow during Summer, then turn golden-yellow in Autumn before falling. A few pendulous white flowers are borne in early Summer.

Uses in the Landscape:

A visual standout amongst other trees, Robinia pseudoacacia 'Frisia' is an all round tough plant suitable for many different landscape uses. Whether as a magnificent specimen, or a street tree in polluted and industrial areas, it grows with vigor and strength.

Happy to grow in almost any situation, the Golden Robinia thrives in moist, fertile soil. Plant in full sun to get the best golden colour, and avoid damaging the roots and trunk with mechanical implements, such as mowers, as this may lead to root suckers.

The Golden Robinia's are grown in a range of advanced sizes from 1.5 metre semi-advanced plants up to 7 to 8 metre plus Super Advanced Specimen Trees. For optimal long-term performance in the landscape, they are field grown in Root Control Bags and container grown in SpringRing Air Pruning Containers ranging from 25 litre to 1000 litre.
